WHO I WORK WITH
Two different sides of the same conversation
I work on both sides of the neurodivergent workplace conversation.
With the businesses navigating it, and the individuals living it.
For businesses
Somewhere around one in five people are neurodivergent, so the odds are that you already employ neurodivergent people, whether or not anybody has told you.
I help businesses understand the people they already have, train managers to respond with confidence, and make the practical changes that let more of their team do their best work.
For individuals
The diagnosis brings relief, then it brings questions. On the whole I've found that the real work starts after the diagnosis.
I'm an accredited ADHD coach, late diagnosed myself. I work one to one with adults who want to understand how they're their diagnosis, how it applies directly to them and how they can move forward in a positive and constructive way.

Qualified on paper
and lived experience
I'm Melanie Carr. I have a BA in Psychology, specialist neurodiversity coaching training, accreditation through the Universal Coaching Alliance, and trauma-informed coach training.
I also have plenty of lived experience. I was an employee who needed adjustments that never came or came too late. I spent my entire life not understanding why so many things seemed to take more effort than they should've needed. I was diagnosed with ADHD in 2020, in my forties.
I feel that it is important that individuals get the support they deserve from someone who truly understands neurodivergence through lived experience as well as study.
Employers and managers also deserve support in developing their processes and understanding of a field that can be quite overwhelming and difficult to master. I offer training, workshops and help with employees to create dignified and inclusive workplaces, where all employees can feel safe and appreciated.
